Our Story

Our CEO & Founder, Marie Toft had a vision. This vision was to help people create communication that was always empathetic and emotionally intelligent, no matter how difficult the message. She wanted to ensure people always felt valued and heard, even when receiving negative news. emotionise ai is now a team of close to ten people along with our pool of trained data creators and growing all the time!

What we do

We help you to connect emotionally with your customer, making them feel valued and heard. Because studies have shown that even if you can’t solve their issue immediately, if you engage emotionally, it reduces churn, ensures loyalty and increases profits.

We help you transform your company’s culture by empowering your workforce to practise emotional intelligence, enhancing business outcomes through empathetic collaborative interactions.

We enable teams to access EIMEAR - our Emotionally Intelligent Model. This is our AI reservoir of emotional intelligence, created by people since 2021.

Using small amounts of your data, we create your own bespoke AI communications model, trained in your company’s tone of voice, brand and unique values.

Our AI is ambient, intuitive and non-intrusive, working in the background as a cognitive collaborator. It recognises the content that needs help with emotional intelligence, gently explains why and suggests more emotionally intelligent replacement sentences.

The emotionise ai API solution stack integrates seamlessly with your CRM. It also plugs into your Outlook and Gmail and any other CRM.

This is just the beginning. We are training AI to automatically generate emotionally intelligent responses and recognise and remember your target audience.

Marie Toft

CEO & Co-Founder
As a journalist and executive TV producer with the BBC, SBS Australia & RTE, Marie understood that connecting emotionally and creating the right tone with audiences was all about the language you choose. Returning to study psychotherapy she discovered the power of our emotions and how they are the barometer we use to navigate our world. But she realised emotional intelligence doesn’t come easily to everyone. So she decided to train AI to help connect people to people, even in highly charged situations, by being  kind and empathetic. emotionise ai is a combination of Marie’s considerable language and communication skills armed with the Power Skill of emotional intelligence. Cleverly integrating cutting edge AI technology and the human touch, we have created EIMEAR – our Emotionally Intelligent Model. emotionise ai embodies empathy, trust and respect, inspiring and embodying emotionally intelligent communication at its core. Marie is leading the charge through emotionise ai to empower emotional intelligence and create consistent communications for Customer Experience and Employee Engagement – helping build better human relationships at scale.

Tim Pat Dufficy

Co-Founder
In 2021 Tim Pat Dufficy – Marie’s friend of over 2 decades – joined her on her vision to train AI to be emotionally intelligent. ChatGPT was over a year from launch, but Tim recognised that emotionise ai had discovered the early potential of Large Language Models and was already ahead. Tim is an experienced tech founder and investor, founding ServerSpace in 2006 which was subsequently sold to iomart in 2014. Tim was able to bring his technical and entrepreneurial skills to enable emotionise ai to execute its vision, bringing our CTO on board who introduced us to our vital technical partner and investor Allion Technologies.
